Nissan to reveal 2013 370Z in Chicago

Nissan is planning on unveiling their updated 370Z sports car. As the name suggests, the 3.7L V6 with 332-hp remains, which is still not enough to catch up to the competish.

EgmCarTech suggests freshened front and back ends, but not much else. The 370Z will be coming up on its fourth year of production and it is already getting quite dull compared to others like the Hyundai Genesis Coupe and America’s current muscle car lineup including Camaro and Mustang.

Nissan Canada wants to know what innovation means to you

Nissan Canada has launched a contest on Facebook for a chance to win a new Nissan vehicle.

The challenge asks Canadians to define, in 140 characters or less, what innovation means to them. Entrants in the Nissan Innovation Challenge will compete to earn two grand prizes, involvement in the creation of a national Nissan television commercial and a new Nissan vehicle of his or her choice (excluding GT-R and NV, dang!).

Who better to create the next ad for Nissan than a car enthusiast! This is an opportunity to highlight the features you have come to enjoy about vehicles and showcase what innovation means to you.

Nissan Canada delivers Nissan LEAF to its first Canadian customer

Here at AutoNorth we have been hyping the launch of the Nissan LEAF for a few weeks. We can now report that the first owner, Ricardo Borba, has just picked up the first all-electric Nissan LEAF in Canada. The vehicle was personally delivered to Ricardo by Nissan Canada President, Allen Childs at Hunt Club Nissan in Ottawa.

Canadians reserve all 2011 Nissan LEAFs within two hours

If you wanted to be the first one on your street to purchase a Nissan Leaf, you’re out of luck for now. For 2011 Nissan only allocated 40 Leafs to the Canadian market and within two hours the Leafs were all snapped up.

“Response from Canadians since we first revealed the Nissan LEAF in 2009 has been astounding so we're not surprised that our first inventory of 40 model year '11 cars were snapped up so quickly," said Judy Wheeler, Director of Marketing, Nissan Canada, Inc.

If you still want a Nissan LEAF, don’t worry Nissan is allocating more vehicles for Canada in 2012.

Nissan Canada announces dealership network for Nissan LEAF

For those who want to purchase a Nissan LEAF you might need to burn a considerable amount of fossil fuel to find a certified LEAF dealership that will sell you one. Right now in Canada only 27 dealerships have passed Nissan Canada’s rigorous certification process. Retailers must have modified sales and service departments with staff going through specialized training.

Nissan dealer network to expand in Canada

You might have more places to purchase or service Nissan vehicles in the future, as Nissan Canada has announced plans to significantly expand and optimize its dealer network across Canada.

This strategy is part of Nissan’s Power 88 business model, which calls for a global market share of eight per cent and commits to enhancing its customers' entire ownership experience through increased investments in its brand, product and retail networks.

Canadian pricing of the Nissan Versa Sedan announced

Yesterday Nissan Canada announced pricing of the all-new Versa Sedan. The 2012 Versa will start at an astonishing $11,798, the lowest starting MSRP in Canada. According to Nissan Canada the new Versa has mid-size appointments with a small car price.

Japanese automakers see sales decline in May due to Japanese earthquake

May was not kind to most Japanese automakers in Canada. Toyota, Honda and Nissan saw sales decline last month due to fallout from the earthquake that shook Japan in March. Toyota saw sales decline 32.7%, Honda Canada had sales fall 15% from May 2010 and Nissan Canada saw sales drop by 18.4%.

Nissan Canada announces retail network for NV commercial vans

Nissan Canada announced today the first dealerships to carry the all-new NV commercial van line. In order to sell and service the Nissan NV, dealerships were required to undergo a certification progress. In total, twenty-one dealerships across Canada have been granted the right to sell Nissan’s commercial vans offerings with more being added in the future.
