Every so often we are reminded of how different the automotive industry is in the Great White North. Sometimes we get unique models and packages that aren't available in the United States. This year Mercedes-Benz is introducing the Canadian exclusive C63 AMG Affalterbach Edition, which first premiered at the 2011 Montreal International Auto Show. Now it's on display in Toronto.

Click through for more information on the C63 AMG Affalterbach Edition.

The C63 Affalterbach Edition features a hand built 6.2L V8 engine that produces a staggering 481 horsepower and 443 lb-ft of torque, propelling the C63 from 0-100 km/h in just 4.4 seconds. In addition, the Affalterbach Edition features the AMG Performance Package, which adds an additional 30 hp, removes the speed limiter and adds a limited slip rear differential. Stopping power is supplied by AMG high performance calipers finished in a brilliant red.

Affalterbach Editions feature an Affalterbach logo on the gear shift, embossed in the headrest as well as displayed on the floor mats. The seats are trimmed with black AMG Nappa Leather and red accent stitching. To complete the package the interior is treated with AMG carbon-fibre trim. The exterior of the Affalterbach is finished in a Designo MAGNO Allanite Grey paint. The exterior mirror housings and rear lip spoiler are finished in carbon-fibre. Black 19" AMG multi-spoke alloy wheels round out the exterior enhancements.

The Affalterbach Edition features each element from the C63 AMG Premium Package, including a rear back up camera, parking sensors, navigation, DVD changer, rear window sunshade, Harmon/Kardon audio system and push button start.

There will only be 30 Affalterbach Editions produced so if you're interested (and have $81,500 on hand) then you could add one to your garage this spring.
